The Spectacle of it All

Hrosvitha does not extensively focus on the scenery, thus minimal set is required to achieve an understanding of the plot. Naturally, pots and pans are necessary, as well as soot (or makeup that appears to be soot) for Dulcitius' kitchen scene. A bow and arrow is needed to kill Hirena at the end of the play and something resembling fire for her sisters' death.
